Dr. Marites Del Mundo
During her free time, Dr. Del Mundo enjoys reading books and loves spending time with her family. She also loves to travel and watch Broadway musicals.
She is an active member of The American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), American Dental Association (ADA) and Texas Dental association (TDA).
Dr. Haba Abdullah
Dr. Abdullah and her husband enjoy practicing dentistry and just moved to Abilene, TX, with their two kids. Dr. Abdullah loves the community in Abilene, loves to serve the patients, and is passionate about changing the lives of people suffering from dental pain.
During her spare time, she enjoys cooking, playing cards, and traveling all over the world.
Dr. Todd Whitfield
Dr. Whitfield’s first post-graduate position was working at the United States Public Health Service from 1989-1991. He was very fortunate that oral surgeon, Dr. Mark Waller instructed him on complicated tooth extractions, thus advancing his knowledge of oral surgery
Dr. Whitfield opened his private dental practice in 1991. Dr. Whitfield was blessed with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life, which became a great asset in growing a successful dental practice. After reading an article in Dental Practice Management, Dr. Whitfield implemented the “Win-Win” strategy by bringing other dentist into his practice to perform procedures on his patients. Patients loved staying in their “home office” surrounded by the staff they trusted. It decreased the patient’s stress level knowing Dr. Whitfield was nearby to answer any last-minute questions, resulting in the patients getting the treatment they needed. The combination of a great bedside manner and all-inclusive services “in-house” quickly led to over 4,000 patients.
Dr. Whitfield constantly advances his dental skills and knowledge. In 2008 he enrolled in the Misch International Implant Institute and completed both the Surgical and Prosthetics Implant Course totaling 175 hours.
After years at the helm of a busy and growing dental practice, Dr. Whitfield realized that in order to spend more quality time with his family, he would need a better work-life balance. He understood that, with proper training and experience, his longtime interest in IV sedation could allow him to more easily control his work schedule, while offering an invaluable service to his patients.
Following rigorous training in all aspects of IV sedation, in which he received advanced education in conscious sedation, as well as in airway management and medical emergencies, Dr. Whitfield met the requirements of the Texas state dental board to provide IV sedation services. Many patients were relieved to know that they could continue to receive the quality dental care offered by this practice, but now with the option of IV sedation. In March of 2016 Dr. Whitfield launched Dental Surgical Solutions to educate other dentists on the benefits of in-house sedation dentistry for their patients. Dr. Whitfield and his team are committed to providing their all patients with the very highest level of dental care in a warm and caring professional environment.
Dr. Omar Dahshi
Dr. Dahshi’s journey into dentistry is marked by a diverse upbringing across various regions in the United States and internationally. His global experiences have instilled in him a profound understanding of different cultures and a passion for community service. During his undergraduate years, he was actively involved in the development of a food pantry with his colleagues, building a strong bond with the local community in Columbus Ohio.
His pursuit of a career in dentistry was driven by his passion for building meaningful relationships, improving access to care, and serving others. Despite facing challenges along, the way, Dr. Dahshi remained steadfast in his commitment to the field, motivated by the impact he could make in people’s lives.
Mentored by esteemed professionals throughout his career, Dr. Dahshi has developed expertise in various aspects of dental care, including pain management, sleep apnea, and comprehensive dental health. These experiences have shaped his approach to providing personalized and effective care.
Dr. Dahshis dedication to ethical and accessible dental care has brought him to Abilene, where he is excited to contribute to the local community. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with his patients and delivering exceptional care to all.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Dahshi enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new opportunities to make a positive impact.
Dr. Michael Hudgins
Dr. Michael J. Hudgins, DDS is a proud native Texan who brings decades of experience and dedication to the field of dentistry. Born and raised near Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Hudgins excelled both academically and athletically in his early years. He was a member of the National Junior Honor Society and the National Honor Society, and was recognized as an All-State defensive lineman with a prestigious Blue Chip designation from Texas.
